Pinot & Picasso – Helping People Succeed Kicks off a Capital Campaign
Black and white with a splash of red was the theme of the event as Helping People Succeed unveiled the 2019 Art for Living Calendar at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club on November 17.
Calendar artists displayed their calendar art pieces, in addition to several other paintings for purchase during this popular event. On hand to meet guests and display their art were Kevin Hutchinson, Sue Ann Mosley, Marian Vitale, Dan Mackin, Pam Patterson, Kathy Pitts, Val Lally, Ginny Jones, Susan Clifford, Mary Lou Knox, Laura DeBerard, Diane Raymond and Carol Baehren-Landeweer.
After cocktails and the silent auction guests were seated in a formal setting for a delectable plated dinner served with wine pairings. Sponsors were recognized as well as the host of the event, Bill Lichtenberger. This is the fifth year that Mr. Lichtenberger has supported this event in a significant way.
Major sponsors included: Bill Lichtenberger, the host; Bill and Audrey Crandall; Jeanine Webster, UBS Financial Services; Bob and Jan Crandall; John and Linda Loewenberg; Jim and Jayne Mondello, Barbra Taylor, EW Consultants, Mary Kay Buckridge, Martin Health System; Ross Mixing; Publix; Lauri Goldstein & Associates; NisAir Air Conditioning & Heating; Dave’s Plumbing; Stuart Business Systems; Water Pointe Realty Group; Mark Brechbill, CPA and Green Design.
Auctioneer Elliot Paul donated his time and talent to auction off the live auction items to the top bidders in the room. The line-up for the live auction included a one-day fishing charter donated by Tony Huerta, an original oil by Georgia Abood and an original oil painting by Peter Vey – both paintings were donated by the Renee’ T. Silvester Foundation, and a week on Santa Rosa Beach in a four-plus bedroom beach donated by Diane Marvin and Woody Lancaster. Helping People Succeed appreciates all of their silent and live auction contributors!
The announcement of a capital campaign to purchase Helping People Succeed’s current building in Jensen Beach was given by Drs. Mary Rose and Richard Bressman, co-chairs of Building Futures, Changing Lives! Mary Rose and Richard shared that Helping People Succeed is embarking on a campaign to raise $2.5 million and continued to state that “This building offers stability and respect to the people we serve. We are honored to be in support of such a significant endeavor! Your investment will not only change our future… your investment will change lives!”
Overall, Helping People Succeed raised a record breaking amount of $110,000. The guests, sponsors and auction contributors played a major role in contributing to the success of Pinot & Picasso!
