Volunteer Resources

Helping People Succeed employs a dedicated, competent staff who meet all licensing requirements and state and federal regulations. While we fully fund our organization, there is still work to be done and a variety of opportunities for volunteers. We welcome volunteers if they are year-round or part time residents. Whether a person wants to help out with fundraising, administrative activities or direct involvement with the people we serve, we match the volunteer’s interest with an opportunity within Helping People Succeed.

As you become a volunteer, we have a specific volunteer training program that fully informs you about Helping People Succeed, the duties expected, and any other pertinent information – our staff are always present with volunteers for support, information and encouragement. When we meet, we’ll have a copy of our Volunteer Manual for you.

Volunteers are welcome and encouraged. With your volunteer assistance, we will work as a team to make sure that everyday we are helping people succeed!

Helping People Succeed is a Florida nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation that provides programs and services to a variety of populations helping them become happy, healthy, productive members of our community. The following are assumptions of our four impactful programs.

Baby Steps

Offers a variety of services to children and families including a personal home visit to new parents, instruction on infant massage and baby calming techniques, socialization skills for infants and toddlers, and behavioral support services for families of two to five- year olds.

Successful Futures

Offers partnerships that serve the employment needs of youth, adults and local businesses. In addition to matching employers’ needs with the abilities and skills of the applicants, Helping People Succeed also offers a community program focusing on work and life skills, education and volunteer work within the community, health and recreational activities.

Children’s Behavioral Health Services

Offers specialized outpatient mental health counseling, targeted case management, and psychiatric services for children and adolescents, ages 5-18. We also offer two summer learning programs for children with behavioral problems as well as an after-school group for children with behavior issues and a social skills group for children on the autism spectrum. We believe that successful treatment occurs when there is a strong alliance between the therapist and the child and family.

Healthy Families

Offers expectant parents or families with newborns parenting education and support through voluntary participation in fun and personalized home visits. Services focus on child development, discipline, safety, goal-setting and linkages to other community resources.
