November is a special month for me as it marks my 1-year anniversary as the CEO of Helping People Succeed!
On November 12th, I will reach my first-year milestone, and what a year it’s been! I knew when I “said yes” to joining this organization that it was a special place doing important work and ready to evolve into its next chapter. From shadowing all of our programs and seeing our work up close and personal, to working alongside our incredible Board of Directors to write a new Strategic Plan (stay tuned for its January 2026 launch), to reimagining how we do our work ensuring we are meeting community need with the greatest possible impact, I have had a year I will never forget. I feel so poised to continue to lead us into our next chapter! I hope each of you will continue in that journey with us and will stay tuned on just how to do so over the coming months!
Also, remember it’s not too late to buy your tickets to join us at our yearly gala, Pinot and Picasso, on November 22. I’d love to see you there! |

Healthy Families Martin-Okeechobee |
On the last visit prior to successfully completing the Healthy Families program, families are asked to reflect on their time and experiences during their participation. The following is an excerpt from 2 recent graduates’ survey responses: What were your greatest challenges, fears, concerns or worries when you first came into the program?
#1 -Not having someone I could trust to guide me and teach me how to raise my children and move forward.
#2 -Being alone when my baby was born with a disability.
In what ways has Healthy Families impacted your life? #1 -I have learned to value the good and the bad, always looking for solutions to progress, and give the best to my family. #2-Feeling supported at every visit during the difficult situation I was facing. What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment?
#1 -I have learned that I can achieve everything I set my mind to! #2-Watching my son grow up and knowing that he is very smart! |

|
|
Helping People Succeed is proud to partner with Vocational Rehabilitation, Cleveland Clinic, the Martin County School District, and ARC of the Treasure Coast to help young adults with disabilities transition from school to work through the Project SEARCH program.
Interns receive hands-on training, career coaching, and on-site experience at Cleveland Clinic, equipping them with the skills and confidence to thrive in the workforce. Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive community.
