Laura DeBerard is a lifelong resident of Florida. After studying at the University of Florida, she moved to Martin County in 1980 and raised three children on Sewall’s Point. She is a faithful member of Morningside Church and has volunteered extensively for local school programs, serving as a charter member of the Project Graduation Board.
Laura has devoted her life to many mediums and expressions of art, such as Tole painting, clothing and decor painting, as well as seashell art. Many homes in Stuart are graced with her beautiful seashell designs.
Most recently, Laura has immersed herself in oils and acrylics on canvas. She has studied under Brenda Leigh, Kelly Arnold, Kate Woods and Pamela Patterson. Their teaching has had a great influence on Laura and she is appreciative of their talent and techniques.
Laura is inspired by Florida seascapes and sea creatures, but also enjoys sharing the gift of capturing and painting beloved pets and treasured landscapes for family and friends.
