L’Dor V’Dor Hadassah Chapter of Port St. Lucie partnered with Helping People Succeed in raising awareness of the needs of underserved families with babies and toddlers. They collected over $1500 worth of baby items including formula, diapers, toys, and other supplies to supplement Helping People Succeed’s Annual Drive. More than 70 Hadassah volunteers hand-decorated 120 tote bags to be used to deliver these supplies.
This was not the Chapter’s first involvement with Helping People Succeed. In 2024, the Chapter decorated and donated 70 pairs of sneakers, reaching out to the neediest families being served through the enrichment of Helping People Succeed’s programs. In the U.S., Hadassah advocates for equal health care, heart health, breast health, and voter access. Hadassah emphasizes increased personal advocacy and healthier lives for everyone.
Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America is a volunteer organization founded over a century ago in the United States, before women had the right to vote and before Israel was founded in 1948. Hadassah Medical Organization’s medical care and research is shared world wide with all people, just as their facilities treat and employ people with no regard to their heritage, race or religion. Hadassah transforms the lives of teens dealing with poverty, sexual trafficking, abuse, and special needs in their two Youth-At-Risk Villages in Israel.
Hadassah researchers identified the role that inherited traits play in the development of breast cancer and the specific biology of each tumor to better tailor therapy and diagnosis through blood samples, rather than invasive biopsies. Hadassah continues to find cutting edge results in stem cell therapy, and progress in treating numerous diseases world wide, including Parkinson’s. Hadassah is also one of the first international organizations to send a medical team and trauma assistance in times of natural disasters and other catastrophes.
