"Our clients need our services more than ever... and we need a permanent home more than ever", said Suzy Hutcheson, President and CEO of Helping People Succeed, as she announced the kickoff of the nonprofit's Matching Gift Campaign that will make possible the timely purchase of their current headquarters in Jensen Beach.

Says Glenna Parris, Gift Planning Officer at Helping People Succeed, "Our current home is a great fit for our programs and operating needs. To purchase the building outright will reduce our operating expenses dramatically and ensure our ability to deliver critical programs now and in the future. We are so close to realizing a long-held dream.”

July Deadline Set for Area Artists Participating in Helping People Succeed’s Calendar Project

Artists from Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties are invited to submit artwork for Helping People Succeed’s annual Art for Living Calendar, now in its 22nd year and featuring the area’s outstanding arts community.

The Call for Artists spells out the guidelines and requirements for the painting submissions, applications and other requirements for the 13-month calendar. Each month’s page will include a selected painting, background on the artist and a photo of each artist, plus a page sponsor from area businesses.

Pinot & Picasso Helping People Succeed Unveils the 2020 Art for Living Calendar

Helping People Succeed’s Pinot & Picasso, An Evening of Fine Wine and Art, unveiled the 2020 Art for Living Calendar at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club on November 23.

Calendar artists displayed their calendar art pieces, in addition to several other paintings for purchase during this popular event. On hand to meet guests and display their art were Stacy Ranieri, Ginny Jones, Marian Vitale, Diane Raymond, Maria McCadden, Laura DeBerard, Dan Mackin, Sue Ann Mosley, Susan Roberts, Julia Kelly, Pam Patterson and Leah Krumme’.

After cocktails and the silent auction guests were seated in a formal setting for a delectable plated dinner served with wine pairings. Sponsors were recognized as well as the host of the event, Bill Lichtenberger. It was announced that the Reception Area at the new Helping People Succeed’s office will be named in Bill’s honor. CEO Suzy Hutcheson stated “Bill’s philanthropic spirit has made a direct impact on those we serve. The children, families and adults will continue to thrive because of his support… today and tomorrow.”

Florida Department of Health Provides Hepatitis A Vaccine Outreach to Helping People Succeed

The declaration is heard loud and clear that residents of the Treasure Coast should get the Hepatitis A vaccine in order to be protected from this contagious virus. The Florida Department of Health (FDOH) in Martin County has confirmed that we are experiencing an outbreak here as well as many other communities across Florida, and in many other states.

Our Department of Health has gone to great lengths to make the vaccine accessible to all residents. Recently they provided vaccines at the United Way Community Conversations meeting, and from there offered to bring the vaccine to other locations. Helping People Succeed took them up on the offer to schedule a vaccination day for employees and customers, which took place this week.

Helping People Succeed’s White Shirt Night Event Honors Our Veterans

It wouldn’t be June without that perennial favorite, White Shirt Night, the colorful and joyful fundraiser that benefits Helping People Succeed.

For the past 10 years, Taste Casual Dining in Hobe Sound has welcomed some of the Treasure Coast’s premier artists to an evening in which they paint original expressions of their art on white shirts, napkins, tote bags and caps in either patriotic red, white and blue or more tropical colors.
