Helping People Succeed’s White Shirt Night Event Honors Our Veterans

Sponsors included Jenkins Landscaping, Taste Casual Dining, EW Consultants, Mary Kay Buckridge, Jeanine Webster and Mel Nobel, Suzy Hutcheson and Liz Abbott – Florida Blue Insurance Agent and Liberty Tax Service Manager.

Karen and Craig Kingston, owners of Taste Casual Dining, donated all of the food served during the White Shirt Night event as well as complementary dinners for the participating artists. The entire restaurant staff offered superb service.

All monies raised at the June 22 event will benefit Camp Success, Helping People Succeed’s therapeutic summer camp for children ages seven through 12.

During the evening, military veterans – who received a 50-percent discount off the entry fee – wore special medals given to them by Helping People Succeed in recognition of their service.

Beautiful silent auction baskets were decorated by Vicki Davis, Martin County Supervisor of Elections, and one was more breathtaking than the next.

For more than 50 years, Helping People Succeed has served the community as a comprehensive organization that recognizes that many populations within our society need strength-based services that lead to self-sufficiency, personal responsibility and the ability to lead an everyday life. The goal of Helping People Succeed is to help each person reach his or her potential.
