Helping People Succeed In Search Of Former Staff, Program Participants, Board Members and More

Were you part of one of its most popular fundraising events – The Six Million Dollar Evening – as a guest, a host at one of the many homes selected for the event or even the captain of a boat that took you to the homes or a limousine that picked you up at one of the homes?

Have you spent the last 26 years attending Taste of Success International Wine Tasting events at Harbour Bay Plaza? Did you serve on a committee, or served as a sponsor, a wine host or a restaurant vendor?

Are you one of Helping People Succeed’s many calendar artists who were selected to be part of the annual Art for Living calendar?

Then, Helping People Succeed is looking for you! Join other staff, board members, current employees and program participants for the non-profit organization’s 50th Anniversary celebration to bring together the Helping People Succeed long-established family.

The non-profit is coordinating a community picnic on Sunday, April 6th between Noon and 3 p.m. at Indian RiverSide Park on No. Indian River Drive in Jensen Beach. The event is FREE. Reservations are required by calling 772.320.0773.

In 1964, Pioneer Occupational Center formed to assist adults with disabilities in work and social communications skills. It would be great to see those first employees from the organization’s early days, including former Governor Bob Graham (1979-1987), who worked at the facility for one of his well-known, popular Work Days.

As the years evolved and more and more residents became aware of what is today Helping People Succeed, the organization expanded its programs to Baby Steps, Healthy Families, BRAIN (), Music and Movement, Employment Options, Community Connections and Behavioral Health Services. Today, Helping People Succeed has expanded its programs to include elementary, middle and high school students with autism spectrum disorder.
