Helping People Succeed and the Richard and Yvonne Ross Charitable Foundation offer thanks to the local community for meeting a $100,000 challenge to help fund programs and direct services at Helping People Succeed.
The campaign kicked off on November 1 with a challenge from Richard and Yvonne Ross to match their $50,000 gift with $50,000 of community support to benefit Helping People Succeed. At the end of 2013, the deadline for the challenge, the campaign had $53,000 contributed by the board of directors and general public which succeeded in the receipt of the $50,000 promised by the Richard and Yvonne Ross Charitable Foundation. In total, over $100,000 was raised.
Helping People Succeed benefactors Rich and Yvonne Ross are challenging the Martin County community and Helping People Succeed’s Board of Directors to raise $100,000 for the local non-profit organization, as it nears its 50th Anniversary in March 2014.
For its second year, area artists featured in the Helping People Succeed 2014 Art for Living Calendar will be on hand at the A.E. “Bean” Backus Gallery and Museum for a calendar signing event.
Stuart Mayor Eula Clarke presents a Proclamation to Suzy Hutcheson, President/CEO of Helping People Succeed, naming October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Helping People Succeed works with adults with disabilities in finding jobs in local businesses, non-profit organizations and government, including the City of Stuart.
